Mine is set at 20mm and the cartridge lines up perfectly on the two null points (2.6 and 4.76) I have a test record and have the anti-skate and tracking weight set properly. I think everything is correct but it bugs me not knowing the recommended overhang.
Vinylengine has the Lab 400 manual for download. It shows an overhang of 15mm. The Lab 440 has a straight tone arm and it doesn't look like you can get the cart back far enough for 15mm. The 20mm its at seems reasonable but would like to know for sure.
Given the null points you're using, the overhang should be longer than what the manufacturer's published overhang would've been. You would want to know the specified overhang if you were going to align the cartridge square in the headshell. If you're aligning to two null points, the manufacturer's overhang is irrelevant because they used different null points.
