Realistic Speaker ID

Those WERE T-100s... before someone put a lot of non-stock parts in there. Tweeters are non-original (were cone tweeters), upper woofers may or may not be original, lower woofers definitely not original.

Those were quite decent speakers beforehand. Now, who knows? I'd guess that whoever did this, did not re-work the crossover or anything else for the new drivers... which means it's probably something resembling a train-wreck as far as response linearity is concerned.

Regards,
Gordon.

If you were going to get the original drivers, or you already had them, then $50 for the cabinets might be a decent RETAIL price in. If the cabs are bad, then $50 is no good IMO.

I agree with GordonW that they WERE T-100's, a rather good early tower speaker. It's too bad they have been abused by the looks of it (Cones are pushed in on the drivers that look original, can't tell if the bottom ones are or not. Oh well, such is life.

Let us know what happens.

Yeah I'm not even going to bother then, I'm just trying to pick up some extra gear to give to some family members, but from the sounds of it whoever owned these essentially ruined them :thumbsdn: Oh well, thanks for all the info guys :thmbsp:
