The original post was not actually that clear to me - the 'average cost to do this work' rather than 'have it done' implied DIY but perhaps that's not what the OP meant.

No real pro is going to do this kind of work for less that $60 per hour. Figure and hour or two.
Look at the cost of parts. The shop will likely mark up the cost of the parts so be ready for that.
He wants them recapped, but he doesn't want to do it himself. He's asking for the approximate cost, in parts and labor, to have his crossovers rebuilt.
Personally, I'm a DIY guy. So, I have no idea what someone else would charge to do the work. I actually enjoy building/rebuilding crossovers. I find it therapeutic. I wouldn't even consider paying someone else to do it for me.
But that's just me, and I'm weird like that. I totally get why someone else would prefer to have the work done professionally. Same reasons some people are shade tree mechanics and others pay to have their vehicles professionally serviced and maintained.
****, didn't know I needed an English major to post here.
Yeah, sorry. I meant to have a professional do the work.
What about a skilled, experienced amateur? Canada is a BIG country. Perhaps if you post a more precise location, a fellow AKer nearby will step up to the plate and assist you.
