Recent find? Valuable?

I have recently found two industrial mono amps that are branded Western Electric but were made by McIntosh. Model KS 19602 LI with one having a date of 1964. Are these industrial amps sought after? Thanks.

Post up some pics. Pairs are definitely worth more than singles as these were typically not made in big quantities. If the amps have WE tubes in them, that definitely increases desirability.

I found a single A120 in the '90s ... never did find a mate.

This is only pic at the moment and essentially no good tubes. One has light surface rust issues and the other one more so. Definitely need full restoration I'm in process of checking condition of transformers.

Yes thank you I have found that same info and dowloaded it but have not seen any thing from anyone that has this amp except that one YT video and some pics from an Japanese ad from long ago. I'm torn between keeping and restoring them or seeing if I could get a decent price due to their apparent rarity.

So, 7591 based mono blocks ... I had no idea. Since you have a pair, you may hit up Steve at Audio Classics. They are always on the lookout for rare Mc amps.

Maybe Steve can also shed some light on what they were originally used for. Homely dudes, unfortunately.

It looks like something in a Western Electric rack, bay. Not that that's bad, looks heavy duty, industrial.

One single sold for $580 plus shipping in January 2022 on eBay. It was in nicer condition but had the two output tubes in it. I am guessing you could get substantially more for the pair, maybe $2k-3k, maybe more.

Thanks for that info I did not see that. That is kind of in line with my expectations but you never know with something that seems to be in such scarce supply. Was this a ebay sale in North America? What did you Google to find this?
