Rectifier Tube

Just in case it hasn't been mentioned, the WS1 comes with an optional thermistor.
I've been using in my St-120, no problems as of yet.
I also have a time delay start mod as well.

Fisher depended on Telefunken, Phillips, and Mullard from about 1956 on, when Mr. FISHER " acquired" his German Engineering Team. And this continued up until about 1965-66 when the world of FISHER was changing over to Solid State, and used Sylvania almost exclusively for all RF/IF/small signal tubes in all tube units until they stopped production in 1968 of the 400 and 1800 receivers. The X-202 came originally with a MULLARD GZ-34 (branded FISHER), Telefunken smooth or ladder plates (whatever was available at the time), EL-84's/7189's were Amperex or Telefunkens (gain whatever was available from Amperex or Telefunken.)

My X202 runs all Russian Tubes. Sovtek 5AR4, EL-84M or 6P14P-EV (7189 equiv's), 4 EH or Tung-Sol re-Issue 12ax7's and 2 SOVTEK 12AX7LPS in the Phono Section. I've been using Russkie tubes for about 10 years now with no problems. Get the Rectifiers and power tubes from an established, REPUTABLE SELLER (NO EBAY!!!). Jim McShane is one of the best out there, he tests at or above operating voltages and amperages. New tubes that have a tiny fault in them DO NOT SURVIVE his testing and get sent back to manufacturer! I've gotten Matched output tube quads that have less than 1ma difference in current draw, but 1ma btwn high and low is normal. Which is a hell of a lot better than most places matching.
