Very nice speaker. Smooth mids, nice highs, solid lows. Mine are on top of some bookcases, so I’m augmenting them with a small sub. They can rock a large bedroom or a good sized living room with no problem.

These speakers used the same Philips midrange driver and a single Peerless cone tweeter as used in multiples in the full sized Model III with a smaller woofer in a much smaller cabinet. As with all 1960's or 70's vintage Rectilinear speakers a cross-over recap is very highly recommended to get them sounding they way they were designed to once again.

I recapped a pair and gave them to my son. If the same capacirors in those were what I found in mine they will need changing. I found an odd 90uf non polar cap. I had to use two 45uf caps in parallel to that 90uf. Even 45uf is a bit odd, but I found them at Partsconexion. Even after a recap, the high end sounded a bit rolled off. Very non fatiguing to listen to. They matched well with a 4 ohm tube amp I gave my son also.
