Use a synthetic oil in my tables, it will prevent dry starts better than fossil oils, the manual specifies oil weight, but that can be varied a bit without detrimental effects.

The idler pressure is adjustable with the side screws on the shift lever housing, table needs to be running, and you’ll need a way to watch the speed, strongly recommend a strobe. The vertical set screws hold the horizontal set screws in place. Pressure is adjusted wit the horizontal screws on each side.

It can be adjusted by feel when one becomes accustomed to the process, just enough pressure to maintain speed is all that’s required, so start by screwing them in until there’s no contact, then slowly make contact.

Perfect! I will fine tune this. I use the RPM app to measure the speed.
 
I have been reading about the Rek-O-Kut T-12H turntables, and from what I understand is that the difference between the 12 and the H is the H has a Hysteresis motor, so similar labelling to Elac with the "H".

What I wonder about is the T-12s compared to the T-43s. It looks like they are the same, except that the T-43s have idlers for 33 and 45 rpm while the T-12s have 33 and 78 rpm idlers. Is that correct? Thanks.

Yes.

You could also get a 45 rpm idler for your T-12 and a 78 rpm idler for your T-43.

The numbering for the T-12s follow, as they are 12 inch platters, but you wonder what the logic was with the T-43 - 4 for 45 rpm and 3 for 33 rpm?

All - I’ve just started digging to a Rek O Kut and need some guidance.

I’ve disassembled and replaced grommets A no problems.

Next up is flushing the motor, as it takes 20 mins to get up to speed. Here’s where I need some help. Every pick I’ve seen has a spout near top and bottom. Not so on the motor I have. What am I missing here?

I found an old Rek O Kut B-16H with a Pickering 190D arm on it with the original C-7B cabinet. Not sure what I'll do with it yet.

Now that's a find! As for what to do with it, I'd suggest fixing it up and living with it happily everafter and / or start that radio station you always wanted to.
