Rush: A Musical Journey

Rush Backstage.com and Rhino just announced pre-orders for; Rush - The Albums: 2002-2012

(June 6, 2025 - Los Angeles, CA)

Rush's
four albums with Atlantic Records, released between the years 2002-2012, will be reissued on vinyl in an upcoming boxed set that includes Vapor Trails (2002), Feedback (2004), Snakes & Arrows (2007), and Clockwork Angels (2012).

The Albums: 2002-2012 celebrates Rush's enduring legacy as one of the most inventive and compelling groups in rock history, receiving a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2013. The RIAA has certified Rush for having the third-highest number of consecutive gold and platinum studio albums by a rock band.

Those are the post Peart personal/family tragedy and they're only doing a 3000 unit run. $149 USD from both Rush Backstage and Rhino records.

Now, whether that means it's 3000 and done is another story. It usually doesn't, it's usually just the first batch.

Same as whether or not they'll start showing up available as single albums in 6-12 months. This has happened before with the Rhino "box sets" so I wouldn’t be surprised if it does again.

Snakes and Arrows has been "unobtanium" since the 2007 release, at least on vinyl. Hopefully this means they'll be pumping out new LP's at least.

I've been waiting for "Snakes" to be repressed. I went in for the box set for that reason alone. I'll also be getting a fairly first run off the new stampers. As the stampers get some age on them, they loose quality (ie: SQ, surface noise, etc) so hopefully I'll get the best version I can of the represses.

All those guys sitting on Snakes and Arrows vinyl on discogs and asking 500+ dollars are going to be pretty p!ssed that Snakes is being re-released….lol!

I too just placed an order. I've got a sealed copy of Snakes and Arrows that I just could not bring myself to open. Now I should sell it. Hopefully these pressings will be good!

Send it here. I’ll get ‘er opened up for ya!

Vinyl is meant to be played and enjoyed…;)

Well, ok...but it'll cost you more than the 4 you just bought by a large margin. Gotta break even :beerchug:

Well, that didn't take long:

Pre-orders announced 6 jun, sold out by morning 8 jun.

I hemmed and hawed about the price at first, but now I'm glad I got in when I did. Worth it (to me) just for Snakes and Arrow on vinyl. Now I just have to hold my breath that rhino does a good job with the quality control. The few Rhino represses I've bought so far seem to be pretty decent, so fingers crossed.

It was supposed to be a limited run of 3000 and they're all gone in 2 days. Seems the boys still have some pull with the consumer.

Now, all that probably means is that they'll be firing up more production runs. I have no doubt they'll keep stamping as long as there's money to be made.....

Peart's life is just a reminder for all of us to appreciate people and their talents while they are here, because we all have a limited time on this earth......

All the world’s indeed a stage
And we are merely players
Performers and portrayers
Each another’s audience
Outside the gilded cage

The rest I already have on cd. Just figured it was time to spend a few more bucks finish it.

Sometimes, I feel lazy and cd’s are easier to cue up and let run than swapping vinyl.

The kenwood 200 cd player also helps…;)
