Sansui 8 vs Sansui g-7000

I gotta say after listening to the G-7500 it's pretty great, really not that much difference between the Eight and the G-7500, to my ears. The Eight is a little warmer, but not enough to make a big difference, honestly I would be happy with either as my main receiver. The clarity on acoustics is fantastic. I could not be happier with this purchase to be honest. Used Pink Floyd Good Bye Blue Sky as my test track with Celestion Ditton 551s
Be careful. There's a novelty facfor. To me any new amp sounds wonderful at first.

I Once had a Sansui G 7000 and a Sansui 771 in my possession at the same time and listened to them back to back on the same gear and the 771 was hands down better, night and day better, I really would never believe it had I not heard it with my own ears.

My G-5000 while being rich at the top and in the middle is rather soft at the lower end in comparison to my earlier receivers of similar powerage.

Having been a Sui nut for too many years to count. I can honestly say that (as with ANY quality equipment) the sounds cherished are in the ears of the beholder. I have from time to time had other manufacturers receivers come through my stable. And after extended listening time I always gravitated back to the Sui's. It is just what I LIKE, as it should be for any listener no matter what anyone else says.
