Sansui G-22000 on CL-Pueblo, CO

Congrats! What a fantastic transaction. Very nice of the guy to hold the G for you and not jack up the price with the "I got a better offer" line.

Several years ago, I had a chance at a $700 G22K that had a bump dent on the front panel. I even talked to the seller. I thought I could find a nicer example. Not.

Congrats! That is one I hope to find one day as well.

Today, I added to my Sansui collection a very nice AU-20k and TU-9900 set with original boxes/manuals. Just set it up and moved my 9090 into the office.

Can't wait to see pics of your new acquisition. I see you also have an understanding wife. Mine put up with a 24 hr round trip earlier this year for one of my purchases. The things we will do for this hobby.

I am in South Texas btw. The plane yesterday actually went to San Diego first, and then Denver. Got the rental car..went straight to Pueblo, and then straight home with only cat naps at rest areas.

Ok..thanks to Audio Fan, here goes my first attempt at pics. Have not even set them up yet..that will be tomorrow after a 10 hour sleep!
It will be matched with Pioneer HPM-1500, and HPM-150's. Under normal circumstances, I would not be able to sleep with the excitement, but tonight will be different!

Traveled from San Antonio to Denver (via San Diego) then drove straight from Denver (through Pueblo for pick up which was luckily on the way) back to Texas. Arrived in Denver at 7.00pm..back at my doorstep at 3.00pm the next day.

Audio Fan...words cannot describe how impressed I am with this. I have a SX-1980, and this IMO beats it in every category. I also was expecting this to just be a more powerful version of a G-9000 (which I like, but would not rate it as spectacular)..but the sound is much different. So crystal clear, and unreal power. I have it going with HPM-1500's and 150's, and cannot move the volume dial past 8pm (afraid I'll damage speakers).

Well done on the purchase and heartily agree with the travel plans. I did the same for my TT (knew what I wanted and went it got it!), though it was a roundtrip for me with new found carry-on (TSA approved even). The HPM's are an awesome match for the G22k. Congrats and enjoy!

Haha..yes, very glad, although it took me about 36 hours to fully recover from the trip. To try and justify my decision, and convince my wife I was really "saving money", I drove the rental car straight through the night, so I could only pay for the 24 hour rental fee. 6"3 and sleeping for 15-20 minute stints at rest areas in rental cars not recommended for optimum health!
