SANSUI STILL GOOD

I see this is your first post and your post is vague

If your asking about Vintage? then 60's, 70's and early 80's YES!!! after that not so much.

Is there still a namesake of sansui still around?
I suspect if so, name sold off. Can't comment on current stuff but only common thing is name.

According to wiki, they only pimp out the brand to other low quality manufacturers.

It depends what you're comparing it to. It's better than the speakers in your TV or your phone...

If its been restored properly, I would say yes. At keast the last 9090 I heard had been and sounded great.

Sansui was good and the good stuff they made may still be be good if properly maintained or restored. The company doesn't exist any more.

In my opinion one has to have a very good knowledge of the brand to make judicious buying decisions.
At this juncture some of the asking prices for some of the models are stretchings...trying to rope the uninitiated.

Sansui has been gone for over 20 years already, all that's left now is the name. The product shown is not really the sort of thing this website is about, but who knows, maybe they're decent computer speakers. They're definitely not hi-fi gear though! I think Sansui's last hurrah was the reproduction AU-111 made in 1999... I'd love to get my hands one one of those!

The older Sansuis are justifiably esteemed; I wish I had one. But later models, sporting the newer logo, are worth consideration, as well. About 30 years ago I picked up an AU-X619R amp new in the box from a liquidator for only $100; COMB Co. I believe it was, at the Har Mar Mall in St. Paul. I've used it on and off over the years with not a spot of trouble. For the last ten years it's been running my home theater system, as well as powering any music in that part of the house. It may be an obscure model, but it provides plenty of power, with good clear sound that I find easy to live with.
