Serial # Assistance - MC Series

I have a beautiful MC2505, Serial #79K64. I have been looking for a reference thread to try and determine the approximate date of manufacture, to no avail. Any ideas on its age?

The MC2505 was made from January 1967 to December 1977.

Serial number 10K01 Jan 1967-99K99 April 1974
Serial number AT1001 April 1974-AT3424 Dec 1977

I would guess yours is from 1971 or 1972.

Yep, my list goes to 1989.

Thank you. I cleaned it up today. The chrome is nearly spotless and it appears to be all original (sounds great too). A DeWick Audio Path Upgrade could be in order, but it looks like it has "low mileage" and was beautifully maintained. :yes:

Every time I hear a first generation solid state McIntosh amp I'm amazed at how good they sound.

I would guess your MC2505 was made in 1970 or 1971.
