Wow, the used Bose 901 market is falling through the floor.

901's of that age almost always need refoaming; that's (18) drivers.

I just sold a pair of series IV at $100 without the eq... they sold in about 4 hours. I could've held onto them for a month and gotten top dollar, I suppose.

Yep, they never go bad.
Don't bet the farm on that. I've seen moth holes in cloth surrounds before....:thumbsdn:
Ad is gone. Not surprised....

Doesn't matter what one's view's are on Bose 901's but they sure don't last long when advertised for selling, reguardless of condition or missing EQ it seems like, because people are buying them.
Just the other day, on the local CL, there was a pair of 901's with the black stands along with the EQ all for $300 bucks!
Called the seller to inquire about them and was told that they were sold that morning. He told me that he had just put the ad up the previous afternoon!

Well look at it this way. Just a pair of the stands alone cost $150 new form the BOSE store....
