Quit totally shaving, well over a year ago.
But, the closest baby`s bottom shave, that I ever had while I shaved, was using a Trac II/III and Dial bar soap.

Best results obtained setting in bath tub with a shower mirror sitting in the wall mounted soap dish after hot bath & face was washed and whiskers were very soft from the hot water bath, before the final shower rinse.
"Very close" female encounter approved, post this close shave method.

No scrape, no scruff, always friendly to the … :naughty:

I also use Cremo, but I prefer the sandal wood flavor ( orange cap instead of red )... Also with a double-edge razor with feather blades.

I tried Edge gel when it first came out and thought it was vastly superior to the foams I had used. More moisture and lubricating. Have just stuck with the gels. Maybe the newer foams are just as good buy old habits.... Maybe I should pick up some Burma-Shave.

this or something similar- in a motel, I will use the conditioner or lotion.
I don't like any kind that billows up; can't see where I'm going....

I've worn a beard for 45yrs, so mostly just wet shave to keep it trim. But there was a time in the 90's when I had to shave for my job. So this is what I used, far superior to anything in a can or tube. Hot water on the brush, lather up the soap with the brush & hot water, then use the brush to lather your face with nice warm shaving soap. Nothing better than a nice warm shave, and this should appeal to the analog guy in all of us eh. Mine included the brush in the kit, after only needed to purchase replacement cakes.

So I couldn't vote in your poll, you neglected to include the most iconic choice of what it is to shave.

No I didn't use a straight razor lol.

When I use a blade, I use Speik cream from a tube. Having said that, I usually just clipper and only shave about 10 times a year.

Edge Gel (orange can Sensitive) with Gillette Sensor twin-blades I order from Amazon and they come from Germany, New Zealand, and other places somewhat randomly. I've always shaved in the shower without a mirror with the same razor and same type of blades for well-over 40-years.

I stopped shaving years ago and now just use an electric buzzer to trim and clean up my neck, but when I was shaving I used the the same safety razor that my dad gave me in the mid 80's and shaving soap with a brush. Safety razor blades are super cheap and give a really good shave and so is shaving soap and a bar lasts for ever. It was a better shave and hardly cost anything.

I went electric and have not looked back. When I let it go, I use Wahl clippers for rough shave and then a Braun for finish shave.

Cheapest Wal-Mart foam w/aloe. Another Gillette Sensor user here, too. Blades are hard to find locally...so I buy 'em on eBay. Most of the time they're Gillette knockoffs, but they shave just fine.
