Sherwood S-7100A or Yamaha CR-220?

I'm thinking warmth versus neutrality. For my purpose with these low powered units I'll take the Sherwood. Most of my gear is Yamaha.

Sherwood in this case. (Truth in advertising, I'm a huge Sherwood fan)

The Yamaha receivers sound great, but are on the neutral/clinical side of things. The Sherwood has a bump in the low frequency that helps make up for the low power.
It is also more forgiving of bad sources. The warmth seems to offset it.

The Yamaha is pretty unforgiving/revealing of defects in media and equipment.

Have had both and both are great receivers. The Yamaha sounded a lot better after I improved the grounding following instructions on Audiokarma. But ultimately, I sold the Yamaha (largely because I had half a dozen other bits of Yamaha gear), while I plan on taking the Sherwood with me to the grave.
