It's a Hot Topic exclusive on orange vinyl I picked up a few days ago.
I like the colored vinyl. I've got about 200~300 of them and red does seem to be the most common.

I used to love colored vinyl til I read that it sounds worse then black vinyl. Since then if I have the option to choose between the two I go for black.
Like you though a lot of my colored records are red. My least favorite colored record is grey. I think they look ugly in grey.

I've read that picture discs sound worse, but never heard that for colored vinyl...

The coloured vinyl I have seem to have a lower noise floor than their black counterparts, save for the JVC vinyl formulations, which themselves aren't truly black.
Picture discs generally sound worse because most of them are made with a very thin layer of clear vinyl over a cardboard core.
Think EvaTone Soundsheets...if you're old enough to even remember those. However, I have a Linda Ronstadt "Living In The USA"
where the core is a very thin picture and the clear vinyl layer is quite thick. It's noise floor is only slightly higher than its black counterpart.
Here are Linda and Dave...together again for the first time... The Mason disc is kind of noisy. I think they all were.

Only problem with them is they drive TTs like the Technics SL1600 Mk II nuts. The size detector can't "see" them.
