Damn! Why'd you have to put this thread up now? My dad has my camera and won't be back from vacation until another 2 weeks from now!

But you can bet to see some pictures as soon as I get it back :D

I seem to have miss placed mine and all my pictures of them are missing as well. Mine must be being used by someone else, ah the karma. I'll have to try and get them back. Bolly I'm next.

here ya go, i didnt pull them out so i spliced the 2 pic's. note the non stock mid-bass cone on the left speaker that Kelly pointed out. never noticed it before then, cant tell any difference in sound. i'll pull the driver one of these day's and see if its just the cone or a differnt driver altogether.

My AR9s

After listening to my AR9s for a few weeks, I now understand the meaning of the phrase "reveals the limitations of the source or recording!!"

nitrous, your mid woofer is different than all of them as yours is showing the VC leads.

Dingus, I'm wondering if both of yours has been replaced because looking at bollys set the surround on the right one of yours is not the same and I thought it looked weird. I'm thinking both yours are replacements.

the mid woofer in my AR90's look just like bollys.

Bollys look like they never came with the driver foam on the baffle board as there is no Velcro.

good eye kfa, I don't think mine ever had the accoustic-blanket inserts... no velcro on the tweeters either.

mine were refoamed about 4 years ago, i think that accounts for the differences you see on my right speaker. the left cone is obviously different, but i think my right cone is the same as bolly's.

could be that the only difference in nitrous' is a differnt size dust cap.

Well it will be interesting when you pull them. I'm still guessing they are not original, paper color on the cone looks slightly purple in color, dust cap looks slightly small, and it does not look like a refoam to me because the glue line is perfect.

you guys have red dots beside your serial numbers, and the kicker, my serial numers have a K in them... AR9K013404, and AR9K013409.

the red dot is an "inspected by" sticker. mine were inspected by 5. my serial #'s are K 010685 and K 010746.

Kelly, pull your mid bass and see what it looks like. my baskets are the same with the only identifying marks pictured. they have the same stamp on basket, 561 8008. on the cone that i think is original, there is a handwritten # on the spider. the obviously replaced cone has no handwriting. both spiders have the stamp #2727. the handwriting on the back was from the tech that did the refoam\recone work. maybe i'll call the phone number and see if he's there.

My new babies. Hopefully will have them in a week or so. I do notice that the high mid drivers are different than those in other photos. :scratch2: These will take the place of the 3As currently on duty with the tuner rack.

Those don't look like original midranges. Does anyone know if there were later models with different mids?

Dingus,

The model number of importance is the 200027 I think. Per this list I found somewhere (can't remember now :scratch2: ), Looks like the originals. :thmbsp:
