Been awhile since I stopped in on this thread....

Is that a Stromberg Carlson integrated amp I spy in the garage? Nice. John

Yep. Sharp eye! Now there's a SC console sitting between those garage speakers that has the same amp inside. Just needs a restore....:sigh:

Hey Analog.. what are those two black boxes with the 203 horns sitting on them with the red car beside them?

American Acoustic Labs bass bins, similar to an Altec design according to Bowtie. They have 2 -12" AlNiCo woofers each in them.

Last but not least, the newest horns in the family.....

analog addict, I'm looking at those speakers in the dining room and all I'm thinking is "Maxell Poster". :D

I'm imagining a guy sitting in the closest seat and his toupee goes flying into the person next to hims' soup. :lmao::rockon:

Hey. I can contribute to this thread now. Madisound BK-16 folded horn cab kits with Audio Nirvana "Super 6.5" full ranges built by yours truly.

Here's a backside shot.

These replaced my beloved but always too big for anyplace we lived 1950's Altec 820 C's. My goal was to make them as phyiscally small as possible, and is why I mounted the horn out of the cab.

I do not know a thing about building speakers but followed the size guidlines in the JBL book. Anyway, I love the way they sound. They are best at high volumes but that's how I like to listen anyway.

Very nice, thanks for sharing.

I just have to add mine. Many of you saw them at AKFest 2010, but for those that didn't.. Mahogany and Birch:

Altec 19's refinished and put together from various parts over about 6 months. They looked like they had been used for a chicken coup when I got them. My bother and I gave these to our Dad for his 80th birthday.
