Show me your workbench!

I finally got around to building my own workbench. Finally got rid of a weight machine that I bought for my wife several years ago but never got used much. Doing so allow me to free up some much needed space in the garage. Just a little more work to do and it will be completely done.

Nice workbench. Now, does any work actually get done?:D

As a matter of fact, yes! My first project was to work on a Pioneer SG-9500 EQ that I recently picked up at GW. The power lamp was burned out and several of the switches were badly bent. I replaced the lamp and got all of the switches straightened out and in alignment and it looks almost like new again.

Yeah, now where's that stack of gear that needs worked??....:scratch2:

The "stack" is in storage in my darkroom. I have a Pioneer PL-600 that needs a little work and an SX-980 that needs some going over and a few Pioneer cassette decks that could also use some work as well. And then there are about a half dozen speakers waiting for re-foams.

This morning I was having some fun modifying a Holga camera to play with. I'm anxious to see how the film turned out.

Well I set it up today so I can get to work on my junk. Just wish I had more room in the office though.

Here's my messy ladies lair; the cluttered workspace, my desk covered in projects, listening area with more projects, and parts/tubes storage

Wow!

Here's my messy ladies lair; the cluttered workspace, my desk covered in projects, listening area with more projects, and parts/tubes storage

You da Man! (so to speak...:D)

Look at all the tasty tube gear! Does your S.O. have any interest in the hobby at all?

This is my workshop/shack that is wife friendly, and which actully saves ALOT of room when you live in a Cave. the closet!

Mark the fixer I am still trying to learn the controls on the o scope, just got it up and running last week had some ldurty tube sockets.

I love them tektronix TDS3xxx scopes! Some day i will afford one...

It aint much, but it is home. I subscribe to the theory that if you build a bigger workbench you will fill it. If you build a small one you will fix what you have on it before opening a new project. Now if I can only get myself to follow the second axiom....:D

Only 4 years between fixes - not bad.

My shop lives in the garage. The car gets moved outside for large projects. Here's a couple of shots of the bench and a couple of corners of the shop. The leather pad on the 'wheelie' bench is invaluable for preventing stuff from getting scratched up. Need to beef up my electronic diagnostic equipment now that I'm messing more with this stuff.

(PS Redboy: If you're still into Optimus & Primus, pm me. I've got a box of them around here somewhere).

Oh man, njcanuck, that's a great space! So many cool tools to be jealous of, and I dig the screwdrivers n' wrenches rack under the window! Cool hammer collection, too!

I'll drop you a PM about stoves... :)

Here is my shop, its a small room in our basement. I haven't "made it mine" yet, but hope to freshen it up soon.
