SMD SMT surface mount replacement or equivalent for 2SC992 KSA992 2SC1845 KSC1845 BC549 BC550 BC559 BC560 low noise BJT transistors

I made adaptor boards for Fets, like the 2SK100 using the JFE2140

Im sure it will work with other Fet's and possibly the BJT's mentioned above if they come in a SOIC8 package.

2SC4116 in rank GR, as well as the complementary part 2SA1586 (hfe200-400) is worth mentioning in this thread as well because for most situations, a BL rank is not required. The 2SC4116/2SA1586 with aprorpriate ranks are good replacements for the through hole parts 2SC2458/2SA1048, 2SC1815/2SA1015, KTC3199/KTA1267 KTC3198/KTA1266

SMD equivalent for the 2SC945, and for the 2SA733. An excellent match for the 2SC945 is the Isahaya 2SC5814 (which also features low CE-saturation voltage, like the 2SC945. Another one that may be more available is the ROHM 2SC2412 and 2SC4081.
For the highest gain 2SA733K I would go with the ROHM 2SA1576A rank S if posible. This is a really nice SMD part.

What adapters are needed? I can help and post them somewhere here (maybe the first post) under opensource or community creative for the community.

I do a lot of SMD soldering at my job. What you need is a VERY thin pointy soldering iron, a decent microscope or video camera, and some liquid flux. Tack one end/pin down first, add the flux and then solder away. You kind of have to forget how you used to solder. With SMD soldering, you use the flux to help draw the solder off the tip. Sometimes, when soldering chips with large numbers of pins, I use a bit that has a solder "cup" in it for want of a better description. I can move it from pin to pin, and let the flux and heat draw the solder off. Takes practice.

Sometimes though, you have to use a hot air gun, but that's another story.

Here is a picture of a resistor, together with grains of sugar and a pencil tip for reference.

What adapters are needed for SMD subs in the first post? Is that what you're asking?

To clarify my previous post in this thread, I'd like to find an SMT/SMD replacement for this dual transistor.

To be used in this configuration - with ability to make the external connections as required.

And also its friend

2SC3381 - visually looks the same

There are a couple of different external connection arrangements needed, so individual access to all six connections is required.

Tall order I know, so I'm just putting it out there for reference, as I don't have the 'smarts' to pull this one off. ;)

Any substitute that you have in mind? I would use SOT23-6 they are usually matched, I like nexperia ones.
But sure I can make you an adapter and if you need several y can make you a small panel with fabrication files so you can get the transistors already mounted or a stencil.

It has to be a dual transistor with all connections available - i.e. no internal connections. ;)

In my initial post I said that "SMD type numbers HN1C01F-GR. (NPN), HN1A01F-GR, (PNP) would work" - I would need to check that carefully before any work was done - nobody likes having their time wasted. :)

I just checked the source of my information (i.e. DIY audio website) it seems the above SMD devices are only just OK - a bit low on voltage - maybe there is a better choice?

Post heavily edited ;)

No, I was offering my help designing adapters that you guys might need and post the gerbers files somewhere (maybe on the first post) for the community.
But the truth is that they are many on the market, so it was a silly idea. forget it

That's a great idea and generous offer. If you'd like me to make note of your offer in the first post, I'm all fot it. Tell me what you'd like to say... or, better yet, make the offer in a post here and I'll point to that from the first post.

This is an example of the little adapters:

Now, I'm well aware how particular are some of you about parts, so this is what I propose.
You guys give the specific parameters of the adapter needed.

For example.
./ 'I need a BA312 adapter, and I want to use a nexperia BC817DS dual transistor with a FJV1845.', these are the datasheets. (post them)
./ I grab that information and design the adaptor and post it here.

The reason to be that specific is to avoid confusions to the end user that can lead to installing the wrong part and sending me pms about why something I designed don't work :p
These adapters are very easy to design. they are fun little things

Assembling a “low distortion audio signal generator” tonight, had to use a SMD 2SK208 instead of the through hole 2SK30A it called for, and had my first “solder SMD to an adapter for use in place of TO-92 through hole”.
