Smokin' CL receiver deal!

Seller is totally clueless, lol! That thing barely weighs 10 lbs, and maybe has 25wpc w/ 25% thd. So many times I hear people say yeah, I got some vintage hifi that's worth a lot of money, it's really rare, one of a kind, blah blah........ yeah right! So I ask them, what do you have? They say, RCA, Sony, Technics, Onkyo, or whatever else and I say what color is it? They say oh it's got a black face, and it's really big & heavy, and it's in a tall cabinet with light wood. To a lot of people, a 10lb receiver that's barely bigger than a ECM from a car is considered big & heavy. I say, ok, what kind of wood is it, and how much power does it have? They say they don't know, only that it "looks" like wood, and has 600 watts. Too many folks see the watts rating on the back, and they think that's what it puts out sound-wise, but they are clueless as to what that really means.

we should put those sellers in touch with this buyer:

Looking for a fully functioning vintage receiver or integrated amp for my work system. I have a preference for aesthetically attractive units - wood cases, lots of chrome and glass, etc. Must have a headphone jack, and also needs to not have any concerns at present - no distortion or mechanical/electronic issues, everything running smoothly. I am NOT looking for a fixer upper, or a unit that needs a servicing! I'll consider units that aren't cosmetically perfect, as long as what needs to work works and the damage or concerns aren't that bad. Also, nothing that smells smoky or musty please, too many allergies. My preference is to find something for $50 or less, but I'll consider units that are over that price if they are in excellent shape. Brand names that catch my attention include Sansui, Pioneer, Sony, Harman Kardon, Kenwood, Yamaha, NAD, and Akai, but I'm open to almost anything. Feel free to get in touch with offers, and being able to send pictures also helps. Thanks!

Wide Range Stereo Speakers by Sound Design - $25

For sale is a pair of wide range loud speakers by SoundDesign.
They are model number 731A.

They are approx. 31 1/2 inches tall and 12 inches wide by 8 inches in depth.

They also have quite a few scratches and bumps. As you can notice they are
missing the soft black fronts. I removed these when we moved as they were
crumbling because they were at the top of the entainment system. Meant to
replace front but never did. You can also get foam rubber and cut to size and
spray paint the covers black.

Also the wires are cut close in the back, so you will need extra wiring. They
were working great when we packed them away.

Our price is $ 25.00 for the pair.

thats not even a matched pair! look at those glue patterns. :P

I'm diggin' the Soundesigns. I'd leave the cloth off. Those glue marks really bring the eye down to the massive full-ranges. As someone said in an ebay auction for a pair of SDs, "and with 5 watts rms, for full, rich sound quality."

Heck yeah!
