Solid State toilet paper?

I've been seeing ads on t.v. for new 'tubeless' toilet tissue rolls...(in an effort to conserve)

Besides thinking up this thread, I also think that it seems like a good idea.

Why not recycle and wipe your butt all in one sitting? I suggest old catalogs, junk mail and phone books. Just like in the old days! You tear out a page, soften it up a bit and there you go. Or you could go even GREENER and use leaves! (Always remember to inspect the leaf before applying, don't want to use poison oak or something similar.)

They already make them an inch narrower, soon they will sell us the inch wide bit they cut off. Effort to conserve my a** the rolls already get recycled, at least here they do. It is all about $$$$.

market

I saw that (tubeless toilet paper).
Total BS aimed at screwing morons out of $$$.
Marketing things "how can we shovel our **** as GREEN"?
Because people will spend more money on **** if its GREEN!
IT DOESN"T HAVE TO MAKE SENCE AT ALL OR EVEN BE CORRECT!

Other examples.
Toyota Prius.
Curly "french fry" light bulbs.

IF either example bothers you, PLEASE learn why those are just plain wrong.

Word is here in CA that they're going to add a CRV, and recycle. Look for a station in your area.

If they really wanted to conserve maybe they should push to make hemp easier to grow in the united states instead of this "oooh look how green we are pretending to be as a pr stunt" nonsense. What I really don't get is how companies run by people with degrees think they can actually shovel B.S. like this to people and expect us to just chow down.

"Hey customer look! We just cut our manufacturing costs, kept all the extra money and then told you it's because we care about the environment! Don't you love us extra now?"

Hemp cannot be legalized because it is illegal. Period.

Actually, the only way hemp could not be legalized is if it were already legal. By definition, anything that is illegal can be legalized.

Recently, I read an article in the MetroTimes that described how, during World War II, hemp was temporarily legalized so that it could be used to fabricate the heavy ships' lines used by ships in the Navy.
