It's funny how there are different power ratings for several amps that have the same circuits. This one will do much more than the 100W per channel 8 ohm rating.

I'm loving it so far

I'd love to hear how you think your DH-220 compares to your new Soundcraftsmen. Be explicit with any similarities or differences. They should be very comparable mosfet power amps in many respects.

Very similar sound, but I give the edge to the Soundcraftsmen

I sold my big McIntosh amp and replaced it with a restored Soundcraftsmen MA5002. Maybe not as pretty, but it sounds every bit as good to my ears.

That's freaking awesome. I have 12 other amps and I must honestly say the one that comes closest to me in sound is my fully restored Son of Ampzilla

My personal unit is a DX4200, but I have several different models that are restored.

I have The CX4100 and DX4100, not sure what the differences are.

CX4100 has the CX record capability, and the DX4100 uses that switch spot for another loop I think... Otherwise they are the same preamp and EQ.

Ok. After careful consideration and listening, I have put my fully restored GAS Son back and I have to say, through the whole listening spectrum, remains my fave. Not to take anything away from the Soundcraftsmen, or any of my other amps. I'm sure the restore has something to do with it.
