What are these dreaded ugly looking speakers Sansui or something?

Don't jump to concussions. Always listen and evaluate. An old style mid/woof with accordian surround can be quite pleasing and a simple cone tweeter likewise.
It looks like the tweeter mounting may be a kludged attempt at porting that may or may not have been successful. If the bass sounds funky you can cover the gap and compare and then try differing amounts of opening. If treble or mid balance is off some minor crossover mods might get things in line.
IMO it is never a good idea to write these type things off out of hand. Very humble looking kit can often perform well above expectations with a bit of judicious tweaking.

Ahh cannot really pay less the. $1 unless you see a pair in the curb maybe worth a shot . How do you know of x overs are good ?
Most likely not the original driver in the top hole, they used the added piece to cover the original opening that most likely had a 2/way full range driver.
You really should learn to investigate BEFORE you buy. It seems most of your posts are filled with low quality items. Try reading some posts to get familiar with the better quality name brands to look for. The amount of money spent of lesser quality items could have gotten you a good pair of speakers by now.
They are not as old as you think. The cabinets are covered in vinyl.
I told you stores near me only sell junk , I was asking to see if they were worth $ 1 .
Or a pass , I would need to buy from a actually person not thrift store to find anything of quality . And I’m too low on cash for anything good .
I swore I asked about these before .
Any idea what these unusual speakers are or we’re ? Before some work wacko tried to Ron diy them .

To low on cash? that's his point save your pennies and look on CL buying something far better. If $10 every weekend is burning a hole in your pocket to buy junk, you'll only ever have junk.
Start by putting that buck in a can that will be your audio fun money.
Yeah I wonder if the grill would fit my realistic Mc 1200 . Haha yeah get a job save some money get something better then what I have now not worse .. I have enough junk low end stuff .
Or do what they did 8 years ago give it a horn call it econowave xnowave and crank it up haha .

Any idea what fulll range ? I wonder if the gold wood full range with whizzed cone would fit there ?
Feed them to the goats ? I need new grills for my realistic haha . Maybe these would work use them boxes for fire wood ? I have 8” visiton if I knew what pre built x overs to buy , and some new tweets these speaker boxes maybe useful .

I don't even see the point in asking whether something is worth $1. Surely you could just buy and, if you like them, keep them, otherwise strip for parts or throw them out / donate them again.

This is an Omega, probably not what yours is but just to give an idea what it might have looked like.
Visaton still makes drivers, PE sells their woofers. Could be the bottom driver is a replacement too.
