Speaker id help needed "DL"?

I found this solid single unit at a gw for 5. Looks good. I cannot id the manufacturer though. Any help appreciated.

It looks like the kind of speaker you would find in a doctor's office waiting room for low level background music due to its short depth. Please post a picture of the driver inside as you've made me curious.

Ok so there is a single driver inside. Wald Sound Professional Series Loudspeaker.

Yeah I am going to go "Dr. Levi's" (DL?) waiting room speaker! Looks like a pro-audio shop built to order from someone's personal workplace.

DL = Doctor Livingstone?

That midrange/woofer could probably sound pretty ok with a smaller guitar amp as it wears an alnico magnet and paper cone.

As is to be expected it is very lacking in the highs and lows lol. Nice little cab though.

I'm thinking "DL" as in "Down-low" as in keep the volume on the down-low so it don't blow In hockey, the DL is the "Disabled list" as in: injured players exempted from active roster status; seems unnecessarily harsh though. I've spent $5 on stuff WAY worse than that so I'm sure you can find a good use for it.

I had some Wald speakers that I got as part of an inexpensive package deal in the mid 70's. Big 3-ways, and thoroughly forgettable. Got rid of them a year later.

Wald did not make drivers, so they just stuck a sticker on it. If you pulled off the sticker there would be EIA codes printed on the magnet structure if it was made in the U.S., but odds are the driver was made in Japan and has no EIA code identifiers.
