Looks like Audax drivers for the tweets and probably mids. Woofers remind me of AR/KLH-ish with what looks like doping compound on the cone.

Should be worth $100 in parts, you'd have to use your ears as far as the sound with the replacement drivers, but the listing is gone now.

Well, I did buy them. They sounded good but not great. I am a sucker for a sob story. Long story short, he obviously needed the money more than I did.

Tweeters and mid-range drivers are made in Thaiwan replacements and some kind of generic crossover.:thumbsdn: The woofers appear to be original AR's with Alnico magnets, cloth surrounds.:thmbsp: They both work great and measured 2.5 ohms DCR. They also have a ring, looks like rubber, around the dust cap. There are some cracks but they are intact. I haven't done any research but I assume they have some value. I will post some pics soon.

Thanks again for the information guys.

Here's some pics of one woofer. They are both virtually identical.

At least you could get your money back selling the woofers.

I did just that. Put them on Ebay this morning with an initial bid of $100 and a BIN of $200. Sold for $200 in less that 10 minutes. Maybe the BIN was too low?:scratch2:

You probably should have just gone straight up no reserve auction on them, because who knows how many guys with money are sitting around waiting for a pair of the older woofer version to come up, but 100% profit seems pretty okay to me.

You are probably right about the auction. I am not a flipper by nature and not greedy. If they had good tweets and mids with original crossovers, I would have kept them. As you said, 100% profit aint' half bad.:D

I wonder how much the cabinets are worth? Nice veneer with some minor damage. Very solid and heavy. Probably a good candidate for an Econwave project.
