Speaker Stands for heavy floorstanding speakers

Stands are easy to make or made from something modified. Sky’s the limit for materials and design.

Agreed. I once used these end tables as equipment racks several years ago, stacked on top of each other. I painted them black after removing the doors and the backs. I installed a shelf in each one. I also used them as speaker stands for a while. Recently, I put the doors back on and found a 20" x 54" tabletop for next to nothing. I put the tabletop on them and am using them as storage cabinets. I have my RCM and third turntable on top. I'm going to paint the doors to match the rest of the cabs next spring, but I attached a photo that I "painted" with photo software to see how they might look.

I threw these together this week using some scrap mdf and spray paint that I had in the garage. I have an idea of filling them with some readymix concrete that I having laying around. For scale, the speakers use a 12" driver. The base of the stand is 14" x 11" x 3.5" to 4.5" with a roughly 6 degree rise.

I love that this thread has been resurrected. I guess there are a lot of speakers out there on stands. Go figure :). I love all the ideas and i think anything that improves the sound to the listener is okie dokie.

Gotta love it.
