Speakerlab speakers?

vintage

Vintage speakerlabs are very good.
I don't know the 40s but they're a weird little company and its hard to keep track of what they made. They aren't sure what they made

ALL the speakerlabs I've heard sound great.

There are better speakers out there but speakerlab can hold it own.

Give them a listen and see.

I believe this thread belongs in Dollars & Sense.

But to the OP's question, Speakerlab speaker kits are popular around the PNW. I don't know about the model 40 but around the early 80's they were using Pioneer drivers. They are still in business: http://www.speakerlab.com

I agree that they do look like a sweet set of speaker probably for a nice price, but I sure don't have the space nor the equipment to accommodate such a pair. Sure do look pretty though.
