Zombie bump.
I am seeking the same info. A buddy dropped some by and I saw a missing woofer and figured they’d been taken for parts at some point.
I can’t find any info whatsoever on them. Why would they leave an open woofer spot open?

I don’t see any old screw holes where the radiator (or woofer for that matter) would have gone.
And what are the odds that two years apart, the only s.1+c I see, is exactly the same.
Does anyone else have any other thoughts?
Definitely not S-11's, which have a leaf tweeter and a step baffle. And not in any catalog that I've been able to find. My best guess(es) are so...
By 1985 Speakerlab had gone to the "DAS" series. I've never seen a 1984 catalog so that's a grey area. I have a 1995 brocure that shows a return to the "SL" naming, but the speakers still look similar to the DAS units. None of these catalogs show a S.1-C.
But there is the S.1 (S_point_1), first showing up in the 1980 catalog, and still there in 1983. The photos from EVboy show a poly cone woofer with foam surround from the '80-'83 era. When the mids surrounds in my S7's rotted I bought some replacements from Speakerlab in 1998. They look exactly like what is installed in Two Step's speakers and turned out to be re-badged Goldwood GW-6024 6.5" mids. The cabinets and beveled grills in these speakers look like the early '80s Speakerlabs.
So my best guess is that Speakerlab produced an enlarged S.1 with a passive radiator and either didn't include it in the 1980-1983 catalogs or it was only produced in the missing/grey-area year 1984. (I still haven't been able to find out of the DAS series started in 1985 or was actually started in 1984 but am suspecting that 1985 is the first year for DAS).
Then somewhere along the way someone sourced a replacement woofer for Two Step's speakers from Speakerlab and got Goldwood replacements (which are nothing like as good as the originals).
At this point my best recommendation is to contact Paul Johnston at The Loudspeaker Store. He is a genuine Speakerlab expert and can most likely supply the answers and replacement drivers/radiators.

Like James suggests above, get hold of Paul and see what he recalls about this model.
Seems to me like Speakerlab was all over the place with their products and releases and that was probably a big part of their undoing. Should have kept a bit narrower focus and product line. I'm not sure the marketing department could keep up with all the different directions they were going.

Man, what a trip that we can’t even find a picture!
I fancy myself as pretty savy with the interweb and I can’t find anything.
The ONLY written reference is from an AK post that is talking about the 1981 Consumer Reports on Speakers. S.1+C is clearly written but again, no pics.

The S-15 also has a ribbon tweeter and stepped front baffle plate. Not that one either. 
but the radiator might be the same, and other than the baffle step the cab looks similar in size.
Two Steps, is the woofer an 8" or 6.5"? Also, that are the cabinet dimensions?

I don’t know James. They are back at my buddies house. If I’d have to guess, I’d say they are 6.5” like the S.1’s.
I have some EPI 100’s with an 8” woofer and those are robust and have a pretty big cab - not like these.
The cab is narrower/slender and tall.
It just got to expensive to build all stereo equipment, speakers, receivers etc. Early 80's was when those cheap all in one stereo racks started showing up.
Well, the thing is, I'm a grumpy old guy and I don't do facebook either. Hopefully one of the other guys can jump in and help. But he seems to be rebuilding his website. It shows an old fashioned telephone number and emale address...
