Anthony.H.Cordesman wrote a very complimentary review of an incarnation of that speaker in 'Audio' magazine.Have you seen it?

Have you ever posted pictures of the VMPS FF3SREs? I don't think I've ever seen them. If not, could you do it here? :thmbsp:
 
Here ya go, I didnt see that write up but I do know this model won best in show in Vegas in 2001 if memory serves, nid you these are new midrange ribbons so there are 6 now instead of one large unit, also added new outboard crossover boxes to mate along with outboard powered VMPS bass crossover...here is some pics.

2. Digital Designs studio monitors- will not be ever produced again.
 
Powered Advents, Yamaha NS655, NS690, Philips Holland 3 ways, Technics SB7000's. There is nothing so pleasant to listen to as the smooth sound and superior sound stage of big dome mids. The Advents for their dynamics and giant-killer bass response. The Technics for their huge sound stage and smooth overall sound.

Well, I just got a very nice pair of nicely restored Large Advents, so I doubt I will be selling those.

With respect to owning?

I'd love a set of B&W 801's or Sonus-Faber Cremona M's. :thmbsp:

This is what I mean about never saying never. I sold 1 pair of Large Advents and now I will say my Boston Acoustics A150's are safe. :scratch2:

Resize your pics to 1024 x 768 and see if it will let you upload, there is a limit to the size of pics.

I have learned a lot on my two year long audio journey, and one thing I've learned is that things I think I'll never sell today, end up getting sold (or more likely, given to friends) down the road as my idea of what 'good' is changes.

Which I think is a good thing..means my system is getting better.

WOW!!! Those model 9's are great. However, the Shelby value has gone through the roof over the past 30 years!! But then, who would have known that back in '77. That's dedication to audio. Got some pics?
