Speakers you will NEVER sell.

My ESS AMT10B's are something I would never part with as long as I can keep them intact. Those air motion transformer tweeters are one of the few true audio breakthroughs. The cast frame woofers are no slouches either.
 
OF course, for really silly bucks I'll sell almost anything, but if we're talking remotely "market value" level, I think I just added a pair of speakers to my "never sell 'em" list: Yamaha NS-1000Ms. :music: I find it hard to imagine me selling these. :no: Not impossible, I suppose, but I don't see it happening.
 
I currently am using Aurum Cantus Leisure 2SE (original U.S. Version co-designed by Kellsie Audio & Video Designs, not the versions common on eBay) speakers and SVS CS-Ultra subwoofers, and I have no plans on ever upgrading. I would not sell them for anywhere near normal market price.
 
I thought I would never sell my JBL L100T's. Not because of the sound really (though they sound damn good) but because of a 20 years emotional attachment to them. I got them in Germany and have lugged them around ever since. However for the last year they've been sitting around unused, so I figured it was better to sell them to someone who would use them rather than have them sit idle,

After trying quite a number of mainstream speakers to run with my tube amplifiers I contacted Jim Salk of Salk Signature Sound and had him build a pair of speakers to match my tube amplifiers. What I have learned from this experience is that manufacturers such as Jim pay attention to what you specify and you get a far better product for your money.

I do not know if anyone else has ever dealt with Jim but from my experience, this is a very knowledgeable and extremely honest down to Earth person. I have run these speakers with tube amps ranging from 22 watts down to 2 watts and it is incredible the sound they can produce. The sound-stage, detail, imaging far exceeded my expectations.

I like the Amazings and Fraziers but I think I already posted here, can't remember, that the Phase Linear Andromedas are the speakers I can't see parting with (the Andromeda panels are behind the Amazings in this picture, subwoofer unit is hidden from sight) .

Those look sweet. I have a question: When those of you "in-the-know" say "tube-friendly", are you strictly speaking of high efficiency?
 
I recently bought a pair of Kappa 7's and absolutely love them. They are the best speakers I have owned yet. I would like to get a set of Kappa 8's but they are pricey. I would be oh so amazed if they sounded better than the 7's.
 
I'll bite....will never get rid of my Cerwin Vega S-1's. Had to go without food to pay for these buggers :smoke:

Like to buy - Usher BE-20....if they sound as good as they look !!!
 
I would venture to guess that the only reason I'd sell my Martin Logan CLSs is if they ended up in a room that was too small to allow them the breathing space they require to perform the way few other speakers can.

They are so small, hardly take up any room. It is hard to believe that so much musical enjoyment can be had from these tiny boxes.
 
Klipsch Cornwalls.

How I received them was a blessing ($40!) and they are the best sounding speakers I've ever owned.
