Is it ok to use it if that fuse is bad?
The other fuses look fine.

I mean it is an 8A 125v fuse. The element is heavy enough that you can usually see if it is burned when you hold it up to a light.

Radio Shack should have that one. It is more common than the others. Auto parts stores may have it too.

Ok...LOL...I did not know that part. :scratch2: I wish I had more time but I don't right now. If all of the lamps are out but everything else seems to work ok, I would still suspect a fuse on the power board because it has happened to me but the guys on here who know a lot more than I do may have other input.

It looks like F3 (2.5A 250v) on the power board protects the light circuit. If you do not have a meter to check it or a known good fuse to swap, I am not sure what else to tell you to try. This is the fuse that I blew during my cleaning and lamp replacement. It is where I would start troubleshooting (if I knew that I had good lamps to begin with and that I had power).

...and I would still replace that main fuse in the back if the glass is discolored.

The fuses are located on the bottom of the receiver. I will send you a service manual tomorrow.

Ok, I got a 32v 10 amp fuse for the back. That should work right? The prevous fuse in their was a 10 amp 32 volt one.
Arg, the fuses i picked up said 10amp 250 volt wtf.

Ok, I replaced fuse F3 now lights work, next step is to replace the stereo light and aux light, this will be tougher. Also need to find a new knob.

While I was deoxiting it I managed to knock out all the lights. How do I fix this?

I changed the bad fuse now they stay lit even with power off....need to find a schematic to track this one down....

Check the switch again , plus see if there are some wires touching were they shouldn't be .
