My wife and I go to a lot of concerts.... I can't count how often this happens:

I actually have a copy of "A Child's Garden of Freberg" - in glorious mono, of course - with many of the above-mentioned bits.

Not many will remember he also did a very early kids' show on TV called "Time For Beany", reportedly a favorite of Albert Einstein!

RIP, Mr. Freberg, and thanks for the laughs.

Hello Muddah, Hello Fadda (Camp Granada) was Allan Sherman's.

Actually that was Allan Sherman, another comedy great cut from the same cloth. Sherman died way too young (back in the early 70's) and I'll always remember his album "My Son the Folk Singer" (I grew up with that one).

Stan Freberg was right up there with Tom Lehrer and Allan Sherman in my book, loved his wry sense of humor. I actually remember him being on one of the funniest episodes of "The Monkees" way back when (he was running a toy factory research department).

A very funny man who brought so much laughter to everyone and lived a good long life. RIP
