Also figured out im missing 2 resistors and will have to order them .

Mark, what's the idea behind the short bits of sleeving over the PT wires?

Nice, tidy work. I'm hoping to pick up a few tricks watching this one.

The teflon tubing was on the leads when i received the transformers ,so i left it to protect the leads on the ouput transformers .

It's a hard job keeping it neet with the transformer leads already cut to length .

Sorry Mark, I didnt do it, thats how I found them:sigh:.

Lotsa metal film in there huh?:scratch2: I see you are bypassing the filters once.:thmbsp:

Hi Jay ,

Im a firm beliver in using metal film resistors , carbon comp and carbon film produce a noise all their own that metal film lack .

These when finished should be as quite as the amps i had at your house , no noise at all without a signal .

Ditto. I dunno what all those guitar amp guys are smokin ( well, I kinda have an idea...) But every guitar amp or hifi design I've ever made with metal films sounds SO much better than carbon comp noise and hiss wise, with no frying bacon.

Mark,
Beautiful build you got going there.:thmbsp:
I bet it is going to sound incredible too.

Got further along .

Tube sockets don't mirror image and to make minor changes in the second one and went back to make some changes to make the resistors look neater in the first one .

Filaments and the B+ all checks out , need to double check my wiring on the output transformer before i go any farther .

Yeah, those are looking really nice already. Man, they're going to be sweet! Can't wait to see them all aglow...

The site of those get me really hot and bothered.
Got to keep telling myself to breathe.............

Mark, those look good, although I have to admit they looked good befoer you redid them too.

Mark
