Stoner Rock playlist

Great album, too bad the recording/mastering is so bad. My copy is really muddy, it's probably the only record I own that I need to crank up the treble on. I like bass and usually turn the treble down.
Haven't heard the vinyls. Anyone know how it compares to the CD? OMS, whatever version AMHD has sounds better than the CD.

Deliverance! Such a good album. I remember exactly where I was when purchasing it. I only have it on CD and wondered about the quality of the recent vinyl remaster/reissue but ultimately didn't get it. I listened to this album a lot on my old Sony Discman while riding the bus to work back in the day.
It sounds great, nice cover and vinyl, all in all good quality. I need to get Wiseblood, another banger as far as I'm concerned.

Right on. Yes, Wiseblood is great too. I found an original cassette of that a few months ago and played it. Sounded really nice. Listened to the whole thing once and then the tape broke at the end of side 2. Ugh!

I didn't post my last show in this thread but I think it belongs here.

Went to the Stone Church in Brattleboro, VT like 2 weeks ago to see King Buffalo. What a great show at one of the coolest venues in the country. Every show I've been to there the artists always comment on how awesome it is.

The Swell Fellas opened up and they were Swell indeed. I chatted with the guys for a bit before the show about music and records, cool guys. They play heavy blues/psych and were rocking.

King Buffalo headlined. I've seen them 3 times now and they definitely have gotten better each time. Since the first time I saw them they released 4 albums, so they have a lot more material to pull from. Their set pulled from a few of their albums.

I like these guys because they are really kicking ass in the psych scene and are doing it all on their own, releasing all of their stuff independently. Cudos to them.

They sounded great and were really well rehearsed. The rhythm section was tight and the singer/guitarist just layers over with his guitar, synths, and voice and makes them sound really big for a 3 piece. The bass player is really great too, laying down some cool grooves.

I was right up front in front for the whole show and loved watching Sean McVay do his thing. He had all kinds of pedals for loops that he plays and sings over. I can't even play guitar for **** and this guy is doing 3 things all at once, it's crazy.

They are kind if like Pink Floyd at times, soothing you with ethereal moments and hammering you at other times with their heaviness.

I didn't get the set list, a woman grabbed it before me, but I was cool with that. She was obviously a big fan and was totally into it. I did get a couple of posters though.

All in all I had a great time, love going to shows. I have another cool one in 2 weeks, I'll post up some pics after the show.
The guy in Swell Fellas plays a PureSalem Classic Creep. One of the coolest production guitars out there.
