48V (IIRC) transformer for multi speaker use. Take it off and they are regular 4-8 ohm.

I wouldn't expect great sound from those. They're designed strictly for PA use. Clear voice but not much else.

Yes 70V. Very common in PA systems. I believe @markshan was mistaken with his 48V mention.

That's why I said IIRC. I haven't done any installs like that in about 30 years. The important thing is that it's a voltage transformer not a field coil.

Not necessarily. Of course they won't give you bass that slaps you in your chest, but some of those drivers are very popular among the open baffle crowd and the no crossover full rangers.
