Super moon lunar eclipse tonight (May 15)

This site says the total eclipse runs from about 10:30 central to 11:15 central time.

This was maybe the second best lunar eclipse I've watched from Tucson. We had some wispy clouds on the horizon just after moonrise, but a fairly unobstructed view after that. I've been outside for most of it with a 65mm spotting scope, but I didn't really need it. I've seen the rings of Saturn with this scope (60-90x) but the moon moves so fast it was hard to keep repositioning it. It's about a quarter moon size now (10:20 MST). Nice alternative to TV or playing here tonight.

Clouds moved in at almost exactly the time for it to begin here. Pretty cool from what I was able to view.

Woke up at midnight and checked, but cloud cover had the sky last night.
No Moon for you, no eclipse.

Same here. At 9:30 the moon was big, bright and clear. Went back out an hour later and the clouds covered everything.

I has a disappoint.

The old lady and I were out looking for it, but the clouds were covering it until the very end. Did manage to get a few minutes of it though. Too bad as it was a fairly cloudless day until about 8pm.

But it was still a nice couple of hours on the roof anyway. Drinks, s'mores, excellent company.

Had a front-row seat to the whole thing, right on the front porch. Good show, minimal clouds that went away not long after it started. Tried for some pictures but either couldn't focus right or had some sneaky tripod motion happening. Couldn't fire the shutter from the phone I think because I was in manual mode.

We've been watching for celestial events for a long time and, like others posted, clouds often obscure what was clear shortly before.

If only "Murphy" could be sent to Mars.
