Hello everybody, I'm restoring a Pioneer SX-434 at the moment and decided to register at AK.
The dial pointer has broken off, so I was wondering if anybody knows where to get a replacement.

Thanks!

Have you got the parts? you can glue them back together with 30 minute epoxy. But you have to take the remainder off the unit. Let sit overnight to set and dry.

AAF-028 is the original part #. and is indiginous to the SX434 only. The AAF-034 is an approved by Pioneer as a substitute. Neither in stock @ pioneer parts.

Either 1.)a parts donor unit, 2.) Ebay Search, 3.) Become a Subscriber and put an ad for one on Bartertown (one of the subscriber level forums and extras), 4.) Look up YESTERDAY's AUDIO (in sponsor list at bottom of the page. Danny may have one.

Be very careful handling. They tend to be brittle as PIONEER didn't expect them to last 40+ years. If the old one hasn't shattered, you can usually glue it with superglue and it'll hold for a while until the sun hits it and the Superglue breaks down due to UV. Better using a 30 minute epoxy.
