I have this set up right now. Damn, thought I was the first to do it hehe.

Using my Akai amp since it needs repair anyway. I cut a strand of multicolored lights to about 1.5 feet long, and took the covers off the amp to allow more cooling. The heatsink barely gets warm, and the power meter only hits about 20 watts to really light up the lights. Safe? Probably not. Do I care? Nah.
