Talk about needing a hobby...

Wiggy, you think they're bad on YOUR side? Most of the perpetrators are Canadians, who wandered over the border. Come over here, and you'll see that disobeying traffic laws is the local pastime.

Stopsigns and red lights are merely suggestions. Just like speed limits. Most drivers use the normal metric conversion. "Double it and add 32". So, 50 mph becomes 132 kph, which actually converts to 79 mph. You will regularly see Canadians do 80 in a 50, our side, or yours.

The lines on the road are usually worn past the point of visibility. When they get repainted, it has been so long that the regular drivers on that road disregard them, anyway.

As a corollary to the above, turns, left or right, can routinely be made From any lane, INTO any lane, even the wrong side of the road.

All this, and I drive a city bus, for a living. It's never boring.

I'm afraid to cross over! Besides, I think I'm on some sort of list since my last visit to Montreal. I didn't know they were that serious about that 'Queen' stuff.

What I discovered is not only did I look like I was trying to be young, I also ended up looking like Macaltecs older brother....

But the chicks seem to dig it...
Justen, that may be the single most frightening thing I've ever read on AK...

:lmao: Mr. Jones, you slay me.

Wiggy, just tell the border agents that you are "going to the Casino". They'll roll out the red carpet for you. Well, at least they will expedite your passage through customs.

Yeah, for the first few days.

After 40,000 days  it can lose some of its charm.

But it's a job, steady, and it pays well enough, and lets me do the things I want to do. And there are a lot of 'interesting' people.

I would've put North Carolina's drivers at the top of the "nicest drivers on earth" list up till about 10 or 12 years ago. Now they're among some of the worst. No signals, way too much speed, inconsiderate of every other driver on the road... It just gets worse all the time.

Had some family in hospital a few years back, and had to catch a ride with my Bro-n-law to get there to be with them. He never slowed to below 75 - 80 MPH going up the 6% grade towards the hospital, and was changing lanes (3 lanes a side on this particular highway) like he was in the Daytona 500. Crazy SOB. When we got to the waiting room filled with family, I made a very public announcement that I would; "Never ride with that nut again!" and I haven't. I wouldn't want him to drive the hearse my casket was in!

SWMBO and my kids have NEVER seen my face nekid. It's been 30 sumpthin years since the last time I shaved it all off, and I grew it back right away. Been with C over 27 years now... it's been longer than it is now, and a little shorter, but it is always there. She prefers beards, my youngest daughter hates the "scratchyness" C has never complained...
