Tascam cd 160 ,good sound,bad or average

Looking at the 160 on the Tascam site, it appears to be an entry player in the line up.
That being said, most anything Tascam should be well designed.
I have been using a CD 450 for 3 years and have had good results from it, never any issues. If I keep it I will go to an outboard DAC as the transport is probably its
strong suit.
If you can get the 160 for a great price, it brings to the table the rack mount you are looking for and at least a solid player.
