Technics 1200 m3d dust cover?

i just bought a technics 1200 m3d turntable
and noticed thee is no hinges for the dust cover. there seems to be a plate cover where the hinges would go. do i have to buy hinges?

You can buy the hinges. All you will need to do is remove the plugs over the hinge mounting area and tap the holes that are already in the plates. The hinges will screw right in. You can also buy a new dust cover if yours is in rough shape.
