PLEASE--get off the seller--she has done everything possible to make things "right". She is obviously not a TT guru and got in over her head, but is doing everything within her scope to make amends. We all F**K up now and then--cut her some slack. I guess I should buy my next TT from one of you guys that can guarantee NIB condition upon delivery. If the OP is satisfied, and the seller is as co-operative as it seems--LET ITGO.

Did that Ebay seller successfully ship 1,000s of pillows and teddy bears? Unlikly that the OP bothered to check the sellers items listed/sold to see if she had a history of selling fragile electronics, a whole different ballgame from pillows and teddy bears. Some day we may have a cure for every disease but there will never be a cure for stupidity............or arrogance?

I have mentioned before on this forum -- I am a fan of Kevin at KAB. That said, you will probably have to ship you deck to him.

He will be able to give you advice (as can plenty of people on here), but I would be a little gun-shy if I was in your position. You could look around for an original box -- that was important to me when picking up my table -- plus, you will ship without platter/ mat, main + aux weight, headshell, dustcover. That makes everything easier.

A note on packaging -- I shipped to him in original box + outside box. He shipped back in same + a round piece of foam padding that went from the center of the deck to the top of lid of inside box (about 4" in radius). Fantastic piece of added security that was I had not thought of.

Then shut up and quit your whining! The OP received a very generous offer from the seller with apologies, and the option of a total return/refund is still there, but it is a total dick move to trash a seller based on inexperience on one occasion.

I agree on that "you can't fix stupid", but I don't see this as the case here--perhaps "uninformed" or "not knowledgeable" would be more appropriate.

Who throws away the box that any piece of gear comes in--most of us. I never anticipate selling or upgrading gear on a regular basis (I do now, but I don't buy new now). So, original packing is a bonus and adds value (to me, at least), but it is easy enough to "fabricate" appropriate packaging.

I guess that I am not as anal retentive as I thought I was--if you want NIB, go buy NIB and fill out your warranty card.

YOU!!! She made a mistake that she is certainly learning from (haven't we all?). She has done everything short of coming over and performing the washing of the feet to absolve sins. It's not like it was your replacement liver/kidney/heart that was not appropriately packed--it was a TT for God's sake GET OVER IT!!!--and not even your TT. I don't know how recommending punishment for some serious "infraction" is in order. Maybe you are one of those "vulture" or "ambulance chasing" attorneys that prey upon the "ignorance" or "vulnerability" of others, but I live and let live. As long as everyone (relevant parties) are happy in the end, this is now a moot point.
