Technics pronounciation

either way is good. BUT-----

"Did you mean: pronunciation." i googled 'pronounciation' and thats what i got.

spell check is a GOOD thing.

the one on google toolbar. my I.T. (daughter) installed it in our firefox browser.

as for matsushta (the way i have heard japanese indivuals say it is like yamashta for yamashita. and now that i have mentioned that name, you should check out kazuhito yamashita the guitarist doing pictures at an exhibition and new world symphony.

the vinyl is a good sounding digital recording. the CDs are rather hard to find as well as the LPs.

Huh...I've heard the name pronounced through the years (since the '70s), and never heard it pronounced as your company did. It was always the 'techniques' pronunciation.

I refused the install of the google toolbar. I do use firefox, Open Office and Songbird. I've just retired from the IT (and all formal work) world as a Network Engineer/Analyist/Consultant. I will check out kazuhito

I don't refer to its techneecial operation, so why Techneecs?

I also hear Americans talking of "mOzda" motor cars, And Neesons.
Here we say Mazda - like 'apple', and Nissan, like 'hiss' + 'and'.
 
Sorry, folks, the two pronunciations are not both acceptable. Soundmotor is correct. The company name Technics is short for "technical." It is not a derivation of "technique." The name is -- and always has been -- correctly pronounced TECK-nicks.
