Technics pronounciation

A friend is an electrical engineer at panasonic. Within the company, it's "Tech-neeks", the japanese pronunciation of the word is tech-neeks, the brand in japanese translates directly to techniques...
Yep that's they way they said it when I worked for Panasonic at their service center in Irving Tx in '81-82.
 
When I was a youngin, I said tech-nicks. Not anymore.

I still struggle with the "neeks". I thought others were dumb who said "neeks", while it clearly was "nicks".

Of course, I also figured out that impedance was pronounced "impa-dince". :stupid:
 
In the real world the owner of a name gets to decide how his name is pronounced. For example, my user name "ec1st" is actually pronounced "ff-red". So in the future, please use it correctly. :headscrat;)
 
Its pronounced BLAAAFENGAR.
