Technics SL-1500

Found an old Technics SL-1500 for sale with a new stylus. Asking price is $190. I’ve been looking to upgrade from my AT-LP60X. Should I buy?

Looks like it's in good shape. I'd say yes, it's a good step up. Especially if it has a decent cartridge and stylus.

If possible have the seller play a record before you buy.

I’ve got one, they’re a thing of beauty. Full manual simplicity! $190 is cheap if it’s in nice shape

If I needed to buy a TT and It was close, this would work. Nothing beats the beauty of a Technics SL table. IMHO.

It has a new audio technica stylus and the at-vm95c cartridge. He says all parts have been cleaned and lubricated.

That's just an OK cartridge, I'd probably look into upgrading it as well. But the price is good for the TT alone.
