The coolest picture thread! Loads of cool pictures!

[thedelihaus]

Glad you enjoyed them fellas- didn't plan on this being a marathon thread, but when I got the challenge thrown on the table, I couldn't resist.

Thanks for the positive words.

What a fabulous way to cross the finish line. Now just make post #169 bigger, would ya?

Cheers,

Isn't this from "A Clockwork Orange"? I seem to recall it was a Transcriptors Hydraulic something or other...

I just bought some really nice gear from a guy that looks exactly like that!

What is that monster receiver ?

I gotta get one of those chairs and ottoman...

I think that is a Telefunken.

The receiver is a Braun circa 1960. Here's a shot of a slightly different one:

Similar in the middle section, but I think the first one was a Telefunken. Look at the brand lettering towards the right side (as you view it).

That pic was from the famous BBC sound project! Her name was Delia.

Hey, this one isn't allowed in a thread about the COOLEST pics... this one's HOT!

I've been scratching my head looking at a funny wheel device in an audio shop here... NOW I know what it is! It's the platter portion of the unit in that pic! Thanks!

This one is too HOT, too!

Another HOT one! Okay, I won't re-post them all, but there are a bunch of pics in this thread that should drive one to a cool shower... Thanks!

I have those, too!
[Sorry, just couldn't resist basking in the reflected glory of this fine thread...]

Thanks, Delihaus, for posting all the cool pics. I've seen many of them before, but enjoyed them every bit as much seeing them again, as I did the first time. And what a great way to hit the 20K mark! Well done, and CONGRATULATIONS on the milestone! :thmbsp:

I know this pict has been in waaaay too many quotes...but ...when I see that chair...I see a pair of Altec Model 19's in the background.....

[soundweasel]

Man that's got everything :thmbsp:

Just add disco couple with platform shoes, fro hairdos, gold medallions, etc.

Needs a mirror ball to be complete!

Darn, that was a cool thread! Let's do it again! :thmbsp:

My 5 year old girl came in my office while I was scrolling through the pictures and when she saw this one announced "oooohhhh...... sweet mama" !!

????? Where'd she get that line from? Wasn't from me.
