The Good Morning (Your First Logon for the Day) Thread

Good morning, y'all! It'll be 99 and partly cloudy here today. I got the weeding done by about 10 AM yesterday, got a little warm but not bad. I have breakfast with the vets this morning, then Sweetie Pie and I are picking up shrimp cocktail at a Mexican seafood place for dinner. That's it for plans today. Have an awesome day, everyone!

Good morning! Clear and lower 90s F for the walk, going to 106. Thankfully there was a strong breeze from the south to offset the temp.

Yesterday the pharmacy records showed I got the RSV jab in '23, so I didn't need it; but they said insurance was recommending Hep-B, so I got the first of 2 for that. Both arms are sore, that's about it. Today: laundry, ordering groceries for pickup tomorrow, UAMA art trivia happy hour late afternoon and big camera club Digital Art SIG tonight.

Have a great day!

TMI: IBS acting up, hopefully done for the day - what else is new?

Good morning from the wilds of wyoming , where are better off with sheep. I always feel like if I can help someone, I should them. Being divorce twice you'd think I learn my lesson from thinking this way. I always search for the good in people, this amplified when I started working in the bowling industry. I did a lot of good there I feel and considered myself a student of human behavior. Took psychology & sociology because of my great interest in people. I want to like everyone and used to start off with a Wyoming welcome howdy! The business trived and I thought something about human behavior, but what I learned is people are unpredictable. It still ceases to amaze me that people who don't know each other due the same thing at the same time. I know certain situations trigger behavior, all at large group at the same is almost scary!

Since I get proven every dad just how little I truly know, Imove on and wish you all the best day of your life, it's time to get some stuff done. john

Good morning all! Got the grass cut yesterday. Lawn looks as good as it's going to get in late August. I'm watering, but we need rain.

Tonight we're heading north to stay with the grandsons while Mom and Dad have a date night. Little one still has a bit of separation anxiety, but we should be able to keep him company.

Take care and have a great day!

Good morning y'all! It has been exactly a week since my dog's passing and life is getting better. I had my first good night sleep since. He was my music buddy. He was deaf, so I could blast music without bothering him. He'd stand right next to the speakers as he loved feeling the thunderous bass of HPM-200s.

My mother is coming over with our other dog this morning, so I'll have good company for the rest of the day.

Have a great day!

Good Morning Folks. It is 62f on the deck, overcast and the high in the mid 80f. The forecast is for rain and thunder on and off all day. After coffee the Wife and I are having breakfast out. The return trip takes us to a large grocery, well stocked with items unavailable in the small local grocery. The wet weather is putting a hold on my afternoon chore, spraying poison on the weeds. In the early afternoon Alice and I are going to the one and only Pub in town for few.
Have a great Friday and take care.
Allan

Another 90F day expected here in the high country of Casper Wy. Need to pay a couple bills, make and appointment to get this broken tooth removed so I can get back to eating normal. I've lost a few lbs so I'm not in a big hurry to put the feedbag back on with my good cooking. I'd like to lose 20lbs but this hot weather with lots of pollen keeps me from working outside.

TGIF!

Good morning, y'all! We have 88 and cloudy here today. It'll be pretty nice outside so hopefully I can get some chair sanding done. Sweetie Pie has art class mid-day, so I'll crank up the stereo after she leaves. This evening we're going to a Beatles' tribute concert at our favorite winery. That should be fun. Have an awesome Friday, everyonre!

Good morning! Upper 80s F and sun shing through thin clouds for the walk, going to 104. Hot again tomorrow but then rain tomorrow and Sunday dropping highs into the 90s.

This morning I was oversleeping peacefully, for the first time in recent memory with no IBS symptoms waking me up every hour, when I was rousted by the phone. I sent it to voice mail, but I was awake now. HVAC company calling to remind me that as part of my service contract they also do free plumbing, electrical, and roof inspection. Of course, thy're looking for paid work, but I don't think they're dishonest. I'm just reluctant to switch plumbers and roofers as I have both that I trust. Electrician I had, on the other hand, moved out of the area, so if I ever need one I might go with these guys. (They also do solar, but have not so much as mentioned it.)

Last night, storms blew through the area. Tucson proper got a heavy one that first blew up a dust storm and then washed it away. Meanwhile, the whole area here missed out on the lunar eclipse. The positive side was that the camera club Digital Art SIG Zoom call wasn't rushed to let people view the eclipse.

Today: computer backup, grocery pickup. Maybe I will finally get to taking the pic of the new Labor Day graphic displayed on the old TV.

Have a great day!

TMI: A morning with absolutely no IBS symptoms feels like an alternate universe. Fingers crossed the whole day is good.

Good morning dear friends!

70° F and partly cloudy, high 75.

Busy week! Yesterday's pig roast was fun. My ex-gf wanted to go, but she couldn't. She was asking about it last night. It was raining and sunny at the same time, but the rainbow was hidden by trees.

On my way to breakfast with friends. We're planning to play music today and at some point, I have to go to my friend's house and install his toilet. Run, run, run!

God bless you all!

Good morning. It’s 69°F going to 86 with maybe a thr thunderstorm. I thought I posted yesterday but I’m having some network issues and it didn’t go through. It wasn’t that exciting of a day: gym, bake, grocery shop, trim hedges, vacuum whole house, etc.

Today I am heading out for a 6 mile run. After that I am going to an open house/gharden party that should be fun. It will be lots of local artists and political activists, an interesting mix of folks I’ve become involved with over the past year or so. At 1pm I’ll meet up with the local urban sketchers group and probably sketch the cathedral downtown. After that meet a few friends at a brewery.

Good morning all! Went up north last night to stay with the boys. Mom and Dad were ready to sneak out when we arrived so there would be little to no drama. But, true to form, the little one had a bit of a meltdown. Momma hugged him and had him do some breathing exercises and it worked. In a few minutes he was okay and chattering up a storm.

I played cribbage with him while Momma was doing Legos with the other g'son. The first time I played cribbage with him he beat me, but he had a lot of help from his Mom. Last night I won by a large margin. We were done after that one game.

Took some dinner orders and went down the road to pick up meals. Had an excellent meal (with leftovers for tonight). Mom and Dad showed up around 7:30.

Today is going to be a slow day. I'll see if I can get into some trouble.

Take care and have a great day!

Good morning, y'all! We have 89 and sunshine here today. Last night's Beatle concert at the winery was really good, their harmony was spot on. Today I have small household chores, more chair sanding (tedious because they have spindle backs), and the grandson's basketball game later this afternoon. I'll try to go walking before it gets warm, too. Have an awesome day, everyone!
