Titebond II is the adhesive that Guild Guitars used in their New Hartford, CT plant when assembling guitars that did not require hide glue. @BillyTheKid knows better about these things though

Good morning! Partly cloudy and upper 80s F for the walk, going to 104. Radar shows a thin band of light showers blowing away to the NW.
Last night's camera club visit to Tucson Auto Museum was good as promised, we were allowed to take chains down to get unobstructed shots. All they asked in return is to please tag them on any posted images and share with them if we didn't mind. Dinner after was great too.
Today: make a pot of beef stew in the slow cooker; do some initial culling of the photos; vacuum upstairs; maybe take the shot of the Labor Day graphic on the old TV, although there's plenty of time yet.

I shall redouble my efforts at staycationing today. I failed miserably yesterday at doing nothing yesterday. After doing “just” the 8 windows and 5 wind wings inside and out twice* I might as well have vacuumed and hit the dash & doors with interior detailer, so I did. Damn if it wasn’t 3:00 until I took a dip and headed to the store! I cruised PCH to Newport and down the Balboa peninsula to the “Wedge”. Have a great day!

* Oh man that’s a lot of glass, but so satisfying to drive a clean car. Especially when you DIY. The world just looks better looking through clean windows. I lied. I didn’t do the front door windows, they only get rolled up on bath day. This picture reminds me of Dumbo, it just needs Timothy Q. Mouse on top.

Love the look of Bug and associated vehicles. My neighbors 2 doors down were Bug people. All it took was one ride in one in winter time upstate NY and I lost interest completely. Cold and uncomfortable is just not for me growing up riding in used semi-luxury vehicles, Chevy Impala. big beautiful Buick w/ac and learned to drive on a Ford LTD. The Chevy burned up on my dad on his way home from playing a gig, with the other 3 Jester's, The buick was problematic and the LTD was still in use when I left NY for Wyoming and never looked back. He had some unusual car, 1930 Franklin Salon special series 143( was a curb side vehicle in the movie "Ironweed" a Citroen cvcc? that was so light the headlights were connected to a swivel stick inside the care so you aim them depending on the load in the car. Had a very small engine , 2 cylinder job, the car had a top speed of 30mph and had a leather roof. Thanks for the pic, I do love cars.

Already hot in the house with a high temp of 92f expected today. Close to 80 in the house already, cooler weather coming or way but not cool enough for me. My illness's and medication make me sweat, time for and ice pack.
The lady I met has a drinking problem and is unwilling too give it up. It is affecting her health and her relationships with her family. She has a very sweet disposition,but I talked to her till I was blue in the face. Made no headway which is sad, she is otherwise a pleasures to be with when she is sober. I am the type that looks for the good in people and would like to help but with all I'm dealing with because of my personal health, it takes a lot out of me to listen to her slurring her speech and complaining about situations in her life that the alcohol has created. Wish I had a superpower so I could help her. Basically it going to come down to the booze or me. I brought her some homemade pea soup yesterday and she ate a small amount and loved it. She is a small person, 5'3 105 pounds. I don't know it I can help her, still again, it makes me sad.
Well enjoy the day. I hiding inside today and trying to catch up around the house . It' almost noon so I best get started, I have to water the plants. living thing first. HAve a wonderful day and take care of yourself and those you love. john

Westerly Guilds used a white glue called Quick Clamp ( maybe spelled with K's...not sure ). Freshly made hide glue for acoustic necks. Epoxy for electric necks. A radio frequency cured glue for fingerboards. A glue from the shoe industry for binding. A mix of Quick Clamp with acetone for headplates. Not surprisingly not a drop of PVA which is never used in chairs except as suspenders, to draw-bored, full mortise & tenon joints. No matter what PVA isn’t recommended for rework of even PVA joints. Needs fresh fibers on both sides to penetrate and bond. If you clean up the hole and the spindle the fit is lost and PVA is still a poor choice because it has poor gap filling properties.

Yesterday, I thought I was going to be doing some demo at my friend's house. Instead, I ended up trying to fix his 59 year old toilet. No one makes parts for it anymore, so he's going to have to replace it. Good thing he has another bathroom.
The upside is that I got to play with his kitten. Her name is Wednesday. She is mostly black with a white patch on her stomach. She might be seen in the cats on audio gear thread since her human does have a Yamaha receiver.
Right now, on my way to have breakfast with friends, then I will probably go back to my friend's house to do the demo that was pre-empted yesterday.

Good morning from the wilds of Wyoming. Looks like 89f the expected high temp today with a 40% chance of rain tonight. that should cool things down a bit. Forgot to roast coffee yesterday so that what I'm about right now. Invited my lady over today, after discussing it with my best friend yesterday, I'm going to invite her to live with me. Hopefully she will find my plan for her alcohol issue acceptable and that will be something I feel comfortable with . Who knows, with such a nice house to live in maybe she will feel less inclined to over do it. I cannot deny out attraction , that how it always, doesn't it??? She will hopefully se the house today, it is well above my pay grade and a beautiful piece of property. I was a gift from above and I'm trying to get caught up around here , if the weather and my body will comply. Some fresh go juice should help too.
As always, I wish for all yours dreams to come true. Your guide will make sure you have what you need, That has not always been my desire but I 've never complained as I find comfort in having the basic necessities plus music, which is a basic necessity for me. Good morning, y'all! We have 95 and sunshine here today. It's supposed to cool down into the 80's next week. I don't have much happening, I'd like to continue sanding the chairs while it's still cool outside. That's all I have planned. There's some weeding to do on the side of the house by the rose bushes, but I think I'll save that until after I get the sanding job done. Have an awesome day, everyone!

If three successive days of cravings are a reliable indicator pancakes are in my near future. The pancake sandwich is my go to, but I have to explain it these days. Guess it’s no longer a thing. Had scattered heavy storms yesterday evening, one close by, but it missed.
Sage bushes have started dropping petals from the latest mass bloom, but are still fragrant as you walk by. Saguaros have been getting fatter from the monsoon rain.
I found the clip-on sunglasses I misplaced months ago, snuggling to the side of my water bottle in the cup holder, so now I have two pairs. It's amazing they never fell over and obstructed the bottle.
The beef stew I made in the slow cooker was a success. I adjusted my recipe to accommodate my IBS, replacing peas with green beans, reducing onion to one chopped shallot and adding bell pepper, using only a touch of garlic powder plus the usual herbs de Provence and black pepper. I had a bowl for supper and the rest has cooled in the fridge overnight and will be separated into 8 oz. frozen portions. The only adjustment for the future is to add the peppers later so they don't turn to mush.
Today: wash sheets; more culling of photos from the auto museum. I tried some long-exposure intentional camera movement of some of the neon signs. On the camera display, it looked like I couldn't reduce the exposure enough without an ND filter, but it turned out that the raw files held the highights. I have not been impressed with the overexposure latitude of the Canon, so I always run in highlight preference mode.

I photographed a late season bloom in the garden this morning.
Good Morning Folks. It is 72 on the deck and overcast. Posting kind of late for me. Got out of the house early this morning to pull weeds before it gets to hot. The Wife stayed with the grand kid and I came home yesterday evening. After clean up I will drive into town and spend the rest of the day with the Alice and the GK's.

After they left, I was going to install his brand new toilet, but the tank lid got smashed in delivery. Just replace the lid like professionals? No, he has to send the whole thing back.
Caught up with my ex-gf around 5pm. She's having some legal issues.

Good morning. It’s 58°F going to 86. My running partner is unavailable for our usual Tuesday run so I am going solo and will do a 6 mile loop from my house. That works out well because I have to be at the county commisioners meeting at 9am. They are finalizing the budget and several of us are speaking, again, about their cuts to the local museums.
After that, the day is unplanned but it might be a motorcycle day.
