Went to the only yard sale I could find today, got there late 2pm. Walking in the garage and found this in the corner. $3.00. Looks like it could be Walnut or Teak.
Not sure if it should have the lamp shade on it, looks better without it. Only name I could find was Levolier they made the socket.
Any ideas who might have made this?

Wow, derekva. That console cabinet is to die for! Some nice looking gear on it too.
Now, since you're into green, you gotta talk to 'Jack Lord' here, and see if he'll sell you these candles (pic posted a couple of pages back in this topic....)

No idea on the manufacturer, but the shade is correct for the lamp. I've seen a few with the same style double shade. Most likely teak. You stole it at $3.

Those are mine. Most of my kitchen/dining area stuff is accented in green. :thmbsp:

I have to say... very nice legs! and great execution!
Here's my collection. The custom HW furniture was given to me by my grandmother who passed away last year days from her 97th birthday. The furniture was made by her first husband (he committed suicide) who worked at the Heywood Wakefield casegoods factory in Los Angeles in 1938. She always told our family that it was Heywood Wakefield furniture and when I received the collection a couple of years ago I was disappointed that there were no HW embossed logos. I purchased the Saarinen Executive chair from an antique dealer in Mass. He deals heavily in HW furniture and he told me it was common for HW employees to take existing designs and modify them. While most of the pieces are not worth much some of the better pieces can fetch good money at auction.
Regardless I have been fascinated by the design of the round table since I was a kid. I would sit there and just stare at the clean lines of the base and thought it was really cool looking. HW made a similar corner and round table so that fits what I was told. I have two HW books and cannot find anything that is similar to the end tables so they are either an original design or he copied it from another employee. Like most of the HW furniture they are constructed of birch and finished in amber. The furniture is still in excellent condition. I also had a HW dresser finished in wheat but sold it.

Zoe, thanks. I'm planning on buying two of the George Nelson lamps for my home in the very near future. A medium sized one for the dining area and a small one for the entry way.
Found this nice, expandable danish table on the NoVa CL last year - very happy with it.
We got the chairs from another ad, haven't redone the fabric yet, but - couple of months later
I found another set of 4 chairs in an earthtone fabric on the curb awaiting trash pickup!
Tossed them in the back of my CRV and home they came!
The Walnut wall unit we got last weekend from Chesapeake beach, one of the bay beaches in MD.
Its a 3 bay unit, but 2 columns worked out just right in that spot, so I stacked it taller and fuller.
We've got more stuff in other rooms, but that's our kitchen stuff so far.

It's also less bulky and more comfortable than my old desk chair. It'll look nice with the Lovig desk, once I get it moved in here later this week. The price wasn't terrible, either.
